Launched in 2016 at the unveiling of Maison BDK Parfums, “Pas Ce Soir” immediately captivated the senses with its floral, gourmand and chypre structure. Its distinctive, mischievous signature, embellished with addictive facets through which perfumer Violaine Collas created a spicy chutney accord, reinvented gourmandise. It’s a Parisian creation, ultra-sensual, undoubtedly evocative of the capital at twilight.

In this second edition of the Collection Parisienne, David Benedek, founder of BDK Parfums, wanted to offer a more concentrated version of this floral chypre. “Pas Ce Soir Extrait” is a gourmand elixir, enriched with sensuality and addiction, where the notes blend to leave an imprint of audacity and mystery on the skin.

Benedek, an avid painter from an early age, sought to make “Pas Ce Soir” more complex to inspire even greater addiction and indulgence. To achieve this, he ventured on the addition of cocoa and patchouli, which together lend intensity and depth to the composition.

Top notes include Pure Jungle EssenceTM Black Pepper, Pure Jungle EssenceTM Ginger, Cacao Resinoid, Pear and Mandarin. At the heart of the fragrance are Jasmine Grandiflorum, Quince Chutney Accord, TropicaloneTM and Orange Blossom. The base notes include Patchouli Gayo Pure Jungle EssenceTM, Benzoin, Vanilla, Cashmeran and OrcanoxTM.

Perfumer Violaine Collas describes “Pas Ce Soir Extrait” as outlining the contours of a new, infinitely mysterious delicacy. Intriguing as an enigma to be deciphered, it becomes ultra-addictive. An image that Collas wanted to capture through the full-bodied intensity of resinoid cocoa and the woody richness of Gayo Pure Jungle EssenceTM patchouli.

Asked about the choice of resinoid cocoa, Collas explains that it resonates olfactory with Gayo Pure Jungle EssenceTM patchouli, which has cocoa facets at the top. Together, they form a new woody addiction, with an intensity that is 100% cocoa, racy and full-bodied, giving the fragrance a trail that is neither sweet nor gourmand, but sinks deep into an almost bitter cocoa addiction.

To bring even more sensuality to “Pas Ce Soir Extrait”, Collas has combined benzoin and vanilla in the base notes to envelop the patchouli-cocoa duo in comforting sensuality. TropicaloneTM also plays with vanilla to give comfort to the note and create a sensual bond thanks to a velvety skin effect that softens the whole.

In creating the extract for “Pas Ce Soir”, Collas wished to enrich its chypre structure with a strong intensity of patchouli overdose carried by bewitching jasmine, which combines with this hint of quince chutney. This characteristic note gradually gives way to the fuller-bodied, resinoid cocoa to create a deeply carnal, sensual signature.

BDK Parfums uses high-quality ingredients from MANE, including Pure Jungle EssenceTM Black Pepper, Pure Jungle EssenceTM Ginger, Resinoid Cocoa, Grandiflorum Jasmine, TropicaloneTM, Gayo Pure Jungle EssenceTM Patchouli, Benzoin and OrcanoxTM.

“Pas Ce Soir Extrait” is a tribute to the sensuality of perfume. As Jean Giono wrote in Jean le Bleu: “There is in sensuality a kind of cosmic elation”. BDK Parfums offers myst… pleasures and gourmet sweetness. Patchouli takes us all the way to Asia, with its woody, earthy and exotic fragrance that inspires boldness. And cocoa, the ultimate ingredient of sensuality, only increases our desire for closeness. Its gourmand bitterness awakens our senses, while its powdery notes evoke a velvety, almost palpable texture on the skin.

Together, these ingredients weave in a skilfully orchestrated balance, creating a unique signature for PAS CE SOIR EXTRAIT. This fragrance evokes the image of a Parisian woman at night, with a relaxed elegance and an infinitely seductive allure. She wears her fragrance like a second skin, an invisible garment that gives her irresistible charm and magnetizes those who cross her path.

But let’s not forget the livelier, fresher notes that join this main trio. Pure Jungle EssenceTM Black Pepper and Pure Jungle EssenceTM Ginger add a hint of spice and energizing freshness, playing with our senses as the Parisian woman plays with the codes of seduction. The Quince Chutney accord adds an intriguing nuance, blending fruity sweetness with spicy exoticism. TropicaloneTM, with its notes of pineapple and peach, adds an extra gourmet dimension, like a tasty dessert enjoyed in the moonlight on a Parisian terrace.

As for Benzoin, its balsamic, powdery, spicy fragrance is like a caress on the skin, a thread that binds all the other ingredients together. Finally, OrcanoxTM brings that ultimate touch of sensuality with its woody, almost animalic tones, reinforcing the carnal side of this fragrance.

In short, PAS CE SOIR EXTRAIT is a hymn to Parisian sensuality, an interpretation of the modern woman, bold and seductive, who knows how to play on her charms and her fragrance to leave an indelible imprint on the minds of those she meets. It’s a creation that reminds us that sensuality is not simply a question of touch or taste, but also and above all a question of scent. For, as Jean Giono so aptly put it: “There is in sensuality a kind of cosmic elation”.

So it’s no coincidence that PAS CE SOIR EXTRAIT invites us to postpone pleasure, make the wait last and play with desire. For, in the wake of this fragrance, every moment is a promise of eternity, a timeless moment when sensuality unfolds in all its splendor. In just a few drops of this precious elixir, BDK Parfums offers an unparalleled sensory experience, an ode to gourmandise, voluptuousness and the art of French seduction.
