Acqua di Parma unveils Cedro Virtuoso, its new sun-filled fragrance

The Italian house Acqua di Parma enriches its collection with Cedro Virtuoso, an eau de parfum that redefines the citron as a noble material of contemporary perfumery. A complete collection, from the EDP to the candle, for an immersion in the Mediterranean soul.

There are fruits that belong to collective olfactory memory — fruits whose name alone is enough to summon a geography, a light, a season. The citron is one of them. A noble cousin of the ordinary lemon, grown mainly in Calabria and Corsica, it has always been at the heart of Acqua di Parma’s identity. The house, founded in 1916 in Parma, has made it its signature: that tangy, luminous freshness that crosses the decades without losing its self-evidence.

With Cedro Virtuoso, Acqua di Parma offers a contemporary reinterpretation of this house obsession. No longer a simple lemony accord but an exploration of what the citron can become when it is allowed to express all its complexity: its bitter facets, its white, almost floral notes, its unexpected persistence on sun-warmed skin.

BUONGIORNO LA COLLEZIONE

Cedro Virtuoso comes as a complete collection that translates the philosophy of the house: perfume as an art of living, and not as a mere extract. The eau de parfum comes in four sizes (12 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml and 180 ml), making it possible to take the citron everywhere — from the express trip to the dressing-room bottle. The Crema Pregiata per il Corpo extends the fragrance on the skin with a melting texture. The Sapone Classico, the Candle and the Diffuser turn the bathroom or living room into a coherent olfactory territory.

This total approach is not a commercial strategy — it is a conviction that perfume must not be isolated from its context. One lives with a perfume; one does not merely wear it.

What the press release does not say

What the house does not specify is why the citron today deserves the qualifier “virtuoso”. Virtuosity, in music, denotes technical mastery taken to its point of excellence — that moment when technique disappears to leave only expression. Cedro Virtuoso suggests the same ambition for this particular citrus: to make it exist beyond its mere function as freshness and turn it into a raw material in its own right, noble and complex.

Indicative prices: EDP 12 ml (€52), 50 ml (€190), 100 ml (€270), 180 ml (€345). Body cream 150 ml (€97). Candle 200 g (€88). Diffuser 180 ml (€105).
