Juliette Has a Gun celebrates twenty years by bringing all its chapters together

For its two decades, the perfume house founded by Romano Ricci presents a collector’s box limited to 999 copies, gathering twenty miniatures of its most significant creations.

Twenty years is the age at which a perfume house can either look back on its past or keep moving forward without lingering on it. Juliette Has a Gun chooses to do both at once: the “20 Years of Audacity” box, limited to 999 copies, gathers twenty miniatures among the house’s most emblematic creations, like so many chapters of a single story — a way of celebrating without fixing, of remembering without being confined by it.

It all begins in 2006, when Romano Ricci launches the brand with a precise ambition: not merely to create a new perfume house, but to rewrite some of its rules, placing woman, in all her diversity, at the centre of the conversation. Two decades later, Juliette Has a Gun occupies a singular territory, between haute couture and impertinence, between openly embraced sensuality and a spirit of freedom — a balance that owes as much to olfactory mastery as to a storytelling never short on character, and which has allowed the house to stand out in a niche perfumery market that is nonetheless saturated with offerings.

For this is where the singularity of the house lies: each creation works as a portrait of a woman, a way of asking, bottle after bottle, what it means to be a woman today. This question, far from being a mere marketing argument, genuinely structures the brand’s olfactory development since its beginnings, each new release adding a further nuance to this collective portrait rather than contradicting it.

The anniversary box merely makes visible what already existed in outline — a collection of twenty moods, twenty stories, which, placed end to end, draw a coherent olfactory wardrobe rather than a succession of launches disconnected from one another. This may be the main lesson of this collector’s object: unlike many houses that multiply range extensions without much coherence, Juliette Has a Gun seems to have built, without necessarily articulating it as such at the outset, a genuine collection in the museum sense of the term.

The edition limited to 999 copies is not an incidental detail either: it places this box within the logic of a collection rather than that of a simple anniversary product meant for wide distribution. This choice of rarity, against the volume strategies often favoured for this kind of celebration, confirms the house’s intention to treat its twenty years as a heritage object rather than a mere seasonal commercial operation.

Gathering twenty miniatures in a single case also amounts to offering the public unprecedented access to creations that have sometimes become hard to find in their original format, thus turning the box into a form of portable retrospective. For the brand’s collectors, it is also an opportunity to complete a personal collection without having to buy multiple full-size bottles.

Available from 25 September 2026 at a price of 450 euros, this box is not so much a culmination as a way for the house to recall where it comes from before announcing, without quite saying so, that the next chapter remains the most awaited — in this faithful to the spirit that already drove Romano Ricci when he founded the brand twenty years earlier.
