Château Cantenac Brown is a third Margaux Grand Cru Classé, located in the heart of the Margaux appellation in the Médoc. The estate’s 60 hectares of vineyards are spread over the prestigious Margaux and Cantenac plateaux.

In 2011, Château Cantenac Brown added a new wine to its range: AltO, a dry white wine made from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon grapes. AltO is a smooth, mineral, vibrant wine. It is a gastronomic wine, designed for the pleasures of the table. Elegant and refined, AltO pays tribute to the art of music and completes the Cantenac Brown range.

The Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes are harvested on September 9 and 10. Vinification is by slow pressing under inert gas, with fermentation in barrels. Ageing takes place in 10% new French oak barrels and 90% one-wine barrels.

AltO is marked by notes of citrus, lime and nectarine. Round and elegant on the palate, marked by freshness and liveliness. It is sustained by a fine tension.

AltO de Cantenac Brown 2021 is available from wine merchants for 19.60 euros ex-VAT.
