From Monday 19 to Sunday 25 October, Parisian restaurants, bars, wine shops and hotels are taking part in the first Champagne Week, led by the Vignerons and the Maisons de Champagne. It extends #ChampagneDay, set for Friday 23 October.
The first edition is held in Paris from 19 to 25 October 2026. It builds on #ChampagneDay, launched in 2009 and presented by the Comité Champagne as an international event followed in many countries. This year, that day falls on Friday 23 October, in the middle of the week of events.
The initiative is collective. It is conceived and carried by the Vignerons and the Maisons de Champagne, through the Comité Champagne, the trade body which, by its own figures, represents more than 16,000 Vignerons and 350 Maisons. The two families of Champagne appear in it together.
The participating venues are restaurants, bars, brasseries, wine shops, hotels and other places. Each builds its own offer for the occasion: tastings, food and Champagne pairings, discovery workshops, dedicated menus, selections of cuvées, apéri-Champagne, brunch or Champagne tea time. The stated aim is to have Champagne rediscovered in its diversity, “beyond the great occasions” with which it is traditionally associated. The formats chosen, brunch, tea time and aperitif, correspond to ordinary moments of the day.
To judge the operation, the question is therefore a simple one: how many addresses offer Champagne on a Tuesday at tea time, with which cuvées, and what place the programme leaves to the Vignerons alongside the Maisons. The answer can be read in the programme.
