Since spring 2017, the iconic One&Only Ocean Club, long considered one of the world’s most exclusive resorts, has welcomed back its loyal clientele after a major renovation.
Rooms and suites have undergone a complete transformation, and the resort has been equipped with new infrastructures to offer an even more exceptional experience. The “Crescent” wing features 40 sea-view rooms and 10 suites, each with a private terrace or balcony overlooking the sea, while the “Hartford” wing offers 48 rooms and 2 Hartford suites. The complex also boasts two two-bedroom cottages, two three-bedroom villas and one four-bedroom villa, enabling families and groups to travel in the best possible conditions.
The renovation was carried out by world-renowned architects HKS Architects and Jeffrey Beers International (JBI), who paid particular attention to the quality of the materials used and the detail of the finishes, while highlighting the magnificent views and surroundings. The renovation combines a glamorous ambience with the exclusivity of this grand colonial mansion on one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful beaches.
Guests were able to rediscover the resort and its new facilities, including the remarkable Ocean Pool, an infinity pool on the white Bahamian sand, as well as the new spa, comprising eight private pavilions where guests can enjoy their treatments in complete privacy. The spa was created in collaboration with Mandara, the world leader in palace wellness. The spa will offer treatments inspired by ancient Asian holistic philosophies combined with the inimitable hospitality and serenity of the Bahamas.
One&Only Ocean Club also offers new culinary experiences. The Dune restaurant, brighter than ever, welcomes travelers in a sophisticated, elegant and warm atmosphere. A Martini Bar has been added to the establishment, offering a reinterpretation of the classic ”Shaken not stirred” Martini.
Guests will also enjoy new menus created by French Chef Sébastian Agnes, who has spent the last eight years at One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico. Inspired by his travels and past culinary experience, the chef will offer Mexican-inspired dishes at the Ocean restaurant by the new infinity pool, balanced breakfasts and fresh dishes at the Dune restaurant, and dishes blending French and Bahamian influences at The Versailles Terrace restaurant.
The resort also offers guests six tennis courts, an 18-hole golf course, a fitness center, the Carlo Milano boutique featuring collections developed exclusively for One&Only Ocean Club, as well as a swimming pool dedicated to families and a KidsOnly club offering interactive, fun and educational activities for children.
