Le Comptoir de la Gastronomie is both a French cuisine restaurant and a delicatessen, a veritable Parisian institution located in the Halles district of Paris since 1894.
Located in the 1st arrondissement, a stone’s throw from rue Montorgueil, Comptoir de la Gastronomie has been an institution in the Halles district since it opened in 1894. Taken over in 1989 by the Loï family, the Rue Montmartre store has retained all its charm, devoting itself to a cult of fine produce. A fine grocery store, the Comptoir de la Gastronomie is also a 30-seat restaurant (with an extra 20 on the terrace in summer), where you can sample the House’s great classics: foie gras ravioli with truffle cream, onion soup, charcuterie or cheese platters, gravlax salmon or gourmet
salad. These classics are accompanied by a seasonal menu that changes every month. We’ve tested and approved it.
On the delicatessen side, the Maison offers a wide
selection of products, mainly savoury, condiments, charcuterie and homemade pâtés made in the
laboratory under the store, as well as a fine wine cellar.
