The Korean house is complementing its Ceramidin Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream, a global best-seller, with a serum in a water-gel texture. The aim is not to replace the cream, but to add a further step on top of it, following the Korean logic of layering.
A texture designed not to weigh down
The Ceramidin Skin Barrier Moisture Recovery Serum comes in a thirty-millilitre bottle, priced at thirty-nine euros. Its water-gel texture, non-sticky and quickly absorbed, relies on two active ingredients recommended by Korean dermatologists: Aqua Cera and zinc hyaluronate. The formula excludes silicones, fragrance, gluten and mineral oil, and is claimed to be suitable for sensitive skin.
Layering as a method, not a slogan
“Korean serums are at the forefront of innovation in skincare and visible results. The Ceramidin Skin Barrier Repair Serum has a texture as light as water, while leaving the skin deeply hydrated, comfortable and healthy. It is an effortless way to support the skin barrier, without any heaviness. Lipids, reinvented in a water-light texture,” explains Julien Michelet, the house’s EMEA training manager.
The serum is designed to be used with the Ceramidin Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream, whose worldwide commercial success built Dr.Jart+’s reputation outside Korea. Rather than replacing this historic product, the house chooses to add a step, extending an established routine rather than calling it into question.

Adding a step to an already proven ritual rather than replacing it says something about contemporary Korean skincare: perfecting by accumulation rather than by substitution.
