For this 16th edition of the Tomato Festival, Le Château de la Bourdaisière has placed even greater emphasis on the notion of gastronomy. The Tomato Conservatory, created in 1998 by the Prince de Broglie, is home to almost 650 varieties of heirloom tomatoes. Rouge d’Irak, Téton de Vénus and many others will delight you with their diversity of color and shape.
Fifty exhibitors will be selling gastronomy-related products. Plants, seeds, cosmetics, the possibilities are endless.
The Bar à Tomates (Tomato Bar), a catering area, will offer tastings of various products from the Château. A wide range of dishes will be made from tomatoes, including gazpachos, salads, crumbles, sorbets and juices.
The book La Ratatouille, published by Cookissime, will reveal recipes for the dish, reinterpreted by 10 chefs. Among them are Jean-François Piège, Paul Bocuse, … and also Louis Albert de Broglie. The latter has contributed in several ways. Indeed, he was chosen by Disney to design the Ratatouille apprentice chef’s garden at Disneyland Paris.
Pleasant moments, …
