A few weeks ago, we received an invitation to go and discover a wine fair for Lidl, which had nothing to do with the world of luxury we usually bring you. The venue was the Clos de Montmartre, a magnificent vineyard located in one of the most picturesque areas of Paris. It has exceptional charm and even produces a rare cuvée prized by collectors, if not by connoisseurs of fine wines.
It was in this magnificent setting that we discovered the new positioning of this former hard discounter, which has decided to offer one of the best selections of mass-market wines at more than reasonable prices. If you’re not looking for great vintages on the side, you’ll find great wines from great houses and great estates at great prices, and this deserves a mention on our site.
