GUCCI WATCHES AND JEWELRY PRESENTS THE GUCCI HANDMASTER AUTOMATIC WATCH, EMBODYING ALL OF GUCCI’S WATCHMAKING EXPERTISE
At Basel, Gucci Timepieces and Jewelry presented a new collection for men and women to complement its line of high-end watches. The
Gucci Handmaster watch reflects the mastery of Gucci Montres’ workshops in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, where Italian style meets Swiss quality
. All the watches are assembled by hand, and particular attention is paid to the creation of each timepiece.
The men’s model is equipped with a GP3300 movement and a 46-hour power reserve, while the ladies’ model is equipped with a GP270 movement and a 36-hour power reserve; the movements used are supplied by Sowind Manufacture. The transparent caseback of each model reveals the watch’s internal mechanisms, including the oscillating weight engraved with Gucci’s iconic diamond motif.
The Gucci Handmaster for men (32.5 x 33 mm) features a rectangular polished steel case with slightly sloping edges that lend real depth to
this timepiece. The watch’s vintage look is enhanced by a distinctive dial: a sunbrushed black finish, revealing the unmistakable diamond motif,
is topped by classically designed silvered hands and Roman numerals. Key features include a date display at half past one o’clock,
a power reserve indicator at 5 o’clock and a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock. The black dial is paired with a black crocodile strap featuring a
stirrup clasp, in reference to the Maison’s equestrian icons. The ladies’ model shares a similar design (26.5 x 27.5 mm) in polished steel, enhanced by rose-gold details on the hands and numerals. The sunbrushed black dial again evokes the design of a traditional sundial, punctuated by Roman numerals and featuring a date window at 6 o’clock. Each model expresses the iconic Gucci style, including the diamond-patterned caseback and the ÿGucci Automatic Ÿ label at 12 o’clock. A matching black crocodile strap is paired with a stirrup clasp for a finishing touch.
The Gucci Handmaster watch is also available as a precious model, with an 18-carat gold case and matching gold details on the dial.
Both the steel and gold versions are made in limited editions and come with special watch cases and certificates, underlining the exceptional
craftsmanship with which these elegant pieces have been made. Extremely elegant, the new Gucci Handmaster harmoniously blends beauty
