CHATEAU DE FERRAND 2016
A great vintage for laying down
Located on the heights of Saint-Emilion, Château de Ferrand Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Emilion is certainly one of the oldest properties in the appellation. This 42-hectare estate, which dates back to the 17th century, boasts an exceptional site overlooking the Dordogne valley and a unique terroir.
Made from 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, Château de Ferrand 2016 is characterized by a very intense violet color with garnet highlights. The nose, though still young, reveals great potential. Fruity aromas mingle with a spicy bouquet, offering elegant complexity. On the palate, the wine delivers a powerful balance between freshness and tannins, a sign of great ageing potential. Accompanied by a fruity, toasty aftertaste. Château de Ferrand 2016, the worthy successor to 2010.
Château de Ferrand 2016, Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Emilion, is on sale at wine merchants for around €43.
