Joffrey Verbruggen in “Liberté

Awarded the Magritte for Best Male Hope (Belgian César) and revealed by his offbeat characters in the Before du Grand Journal on Canal+, the enfant terrible of the flat country presents today his first show “Liberté”.

We were able to go see this show and see for ourselves the talent of this artist. Touching, funny and fair.

The troublemaker of Belgian humor, a comedian at heart, plays crazy and irresistible characters, some with immense generosity and others strangled by loneliness. All said with a smile…
But don’t be fooled by his angelic figure, behind his young prime looks, Joffrey Verbruggen is a pest. Insolent towards received ideas and intolerant of stupidity, he takes us on an intimate, realistic and original adventure, recounting the birth of his dream at the counter of the Brussels bistro where he grew up, his desire for freedom and recognition.

A show that moves away from the common one man show, and that plays different characters, each more endearing than the other. A beautiful discovery.

At the Théâtre du Petit Gymnase
38, boulevard de Bonne Nouvelle – 75010 Paris
Thursday to Saturday at 8:00 pm
as of September 26
