An Oscar-winning American actress with a breathtaking pedigree: David Lynch, Stefen Fears, Martin Scorseses and now Boyhood – a vast study of the human condition, considered by some to be the best film of 2014 – Patricia Arquette never ceases to shine. And who better to notice it than a major Italian haute joallerie house.

At the 61st Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, Bulagri honored the actress for her lifetime achievement.

Bulgari doesn’t just shine on the arms of the greatest actresses. As they walk the red carpets of the world’s greatest festivals, Bulgari not only loves actresses, it loves cinema and is committed to its cause. It’s a love that’s obvious when you consider the special relationship between Italy, the cinema and the luxury brand.

From its very birth, Italy has embraced cinema and delivered us great names that have become immortal, from Fellini and De Sica to Pasolini and Visconti. Cinema is still profoundly marked by these directors and actors of international renown.

As for jewelry, it is crowned by the treasures of the Bulgari house, born of the fight for recognition of Italian prestige led by Sotirios Voulgaris with the help of his sons at the beginning of the 20th century. After the war, it was time for reconstruction. Life and the arts gradually resumed, and it was in the Bulgari boutique that the greatest actresses paraded. From Elizabeth Taylor to Audrey Hepburn, Bulgari became the code name for the most chic actresses.

On June 18, Sicily was decked out in its finest finery. For this glamorous event, the ancient theater was transformed for a few hours into a stage where the greatest actors met. This year, the dresses of Susan Sarandon and Rosario Dawson were on display.
