R de Ruinart presents its Caisse-Cave

The first champagne house was founded on September 1st 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart.
Already an innovator, it was in 1769 that Ruinart first shipped its precious flasks in wooden crates, a more suitable packaging
for its distant shipments by boat or overland. The use of wooden crates by other champagne houses did not become widespread until the early 19th century.
At that time, crates conveyed the prestigious image of the champagne houses, which emblazoned them with their name, or even their coat of arms, by means of firebranding.

For the festive season, Ruinart has designed the Caisse-Cave, a practical and playful wooden crate: rectangular, it can be stacked like a construction set,
creating a Ruinart space in your wine cellar, or out in the open, in your home. Thanks to its ingenious front opening system, you can easily
access the Ruinart bottles it contains.

These iconic bottles, in the shape of the original flasks from the early 18th century, will be housed four by four in the spaces provided.
When the Caisse-Cave is opened by means of a sliding panel, the bottles will face you, making them easier to hold.
Contemporary, the Caisse-Cave is nonetheless authentic and elegant, with its fire-branded markings on each side, a reminder of the original practice. The Maison’s name and coat of arms make it instantly recognizable, a real asset if your wine cellar is already well-stocked.

Entirely “Made in France”, the Caisse-Cave Ruinart is made from 100% wood from eco-managed forests.

The contents of the 4-bottle Caisse-Cave Ruinart are left to the choice of connoisseurs:
R de Ruinart, Ruinart Rosé or Ruinart Blanc de Blancs.
