With the creation of the Mini Pen Necklace, the approach becomes strictly nomadic. The technical challenge here is to miniaturize the function without sacrificing balance in the hand or the manufacturing integrity that characterizes the workshops of the French manufacturer.
This piece articulates the Maison’s two fundamental areas of expertise: mastery of lacquer and goldsmithing. The object comes in three material variations, combining a gold or chrome finish with black lacquer, as well as a version combining the gold finish with burgundy lacquer. The writing mechanism is based on an unscrewable ballpoint pen system, designed for one-handed lead release. The aesthetic anchoring of the Manufacture is expressed through the treatment of the metal: the cap and base of the piece incorporate “diamond point” guilloché.
