A few weeks ago, we were invited to discover Altos Tequila on a green roof in Paris, where fruit and plants feed the bartenders selected by Altos. An ecologically conscious premium tequila.
Altos Blanco is a 100% agave tequila created by Jesus Hernandez, Maestro Tequilero of Altos, who teamed up for the occasion with 2 of the world’s most renowned bartenders, Henry Besant and Dre Masso. This agave-rich tequila is made using the traditional Tahona stone process, a two-ton volcanic stone that extracts the juice and syrup from the fibers.
The agave fields used to produce this tequila are grown in the Los Altos region, at 2100 m above sea level, one of the highest regions in Mexico. The company has a strong social commitment to the region.
The brand is very sensitive to the planet, reducing its impact as much as possible. It also supports an original program by teaming up with urban farms in Paris and Lyon to supply fruit and aromatic plants to bartenders in Paris and Lyon.
