GREAT REDS FROM PROVENCE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

For the festive season, Château Romanin has selected 2 cuvées, reflecting the superb terroir of the Alpilles region. 2 cuvées for every occasion, from small gatherings with friends to large dinner parties. 2 cuvées made according to the biodynamic principles that have been the strength and richness of the estate for 30 years.

CHÂTEAU ROMANIN – THE HEART, IN HARMONY WITH THE CATHEDRAL CELLAR

Inside Château Romanin’s cathedral cellar, designed as an astronomical observatory in line with the rhythm of the seasons, the sun and the moon, lies an oenotheque created in the heart of the mountain. This is where Château Romanin – Le Coeur 2016, Jean-Louis Charmolüe’s latest vintage, is peacefully aged and matured. Less than 2000 bottles for an exceptional cuvée. Made from the finest terroirs, deep soils with good porosity, and a blend of the finest grapes, Château Romanin – Le Coeur is a well-built, noble and profound wine.

CHÂTEAU ROMANIN – Le Coeur Rouge 2016
A.O.P Les Baux-de-Provence
Grape variety: Mourvèdre 58%, Grenache 22% and Cabernet Sauvignon 20%
The wine is garnet-red in color, with great intensity. The nose is rich and complex, with red fruits, kirsch, blond tobacco and spices (cumin, curry, turmeric) with a hint of menthol. On the palate, fruit aromas intermingle perfectly with eucalyptus, cocoa and date, revealing great finesse and elegance. The greediness of this young vintage awakens the taste buds in a harmonious balance where power does not hinder delicacy. Silky tannins augur well for ageing potential.

TWO VINTAGES TO TASTE THE RICHNESS
OF CHÂTEAU ROMANIN’S GREAT RED WINES

Château Romanin’s Grands Vins Rouges come from plots in the foothills of the Alpilles mountains. Their expression is enhanced by over 30 years of biodynamic viticulture, manual harvesting and the imprint of savoir-faire. 2013 and 2011 take us on a journey through the vintages, illustrating the rich expression of this cuvée, which is either fruity (2013) or fully mature (2011).
