Hotel La Belle Juliette is a 4**** located in the heart of Saint Germain Des Près. Its refined, intimate and resolutely feminine atmosphere will win you over.
Decorated by Anne Gelbard, La Belle Juliette transports you to another era, and makes you feel like you’re somewhere else. The hotel owes its name to Juliette Récamier, Chateaubriand’s companion. A magnificent woman with a passion for fashion and culture, she left her mark on the 18th century.
The La Belle Juliette hotel has just 45 rooms (and 4 junior suites + 2 suites), making it an intimate, quiet hotel. Each floor has its own unique decor, reflecting the life of Juliette Récamier (for example, my room on the 3rd floor had a modern decor, evoking the love story between Juliette and Chateaubriand).
All rooms are equipped with a Mac computer (which also doubles as a TV). So I was able to stream my favorite series and surf the net without having to use my tablet. Really, it’s a very positive point: no need to bring your computer with you!
The bar-restaurant Le Clos Belle Juliette (decorated in girly pink and purple tones, I love it!) boasts a superb terrace. Lots of greenery, lots of space, you wouldn’t think you were in Paris at all. I spent an hour on the terrace in the sun and didn’t see the time go by.

The hotel spa is also an ideal place to relax, with a small swimming pool in a subdued area (the water changes color in a soothing chroma therapy effect). There’s also a hammam and tea available. It’s not a big place, but the relaxing, boudoir-style ambience doesn’t get in the way – on the contrary, it even contributes to the “cosy intimacy” of the place.
As for the staff, they’re adorable, attentive to customers’ needs and very professional (I don’t eat gluten and I was able to have a breakfast adapted quickly without any worries).
Another nice surprise was when I had sushi delivered to my room in the evening, and well, my sushi was brought to me on plates (goodbye plastic boxes!), beautifully decorated with lemon slices. A very professional gesture which shows just how well the customer is received here, the service is remarkable and my stay was very pleasant as a result.
I’d recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a quiet, luxurious place with an original, refined decor.
