The French Pavilion has chosen start-up WNE, a symbol of new-generation oenology, to represent France at the Milan 2015 World Expo.
From May 1, 2015, millions of visitors from all over the world will be able to enjoy a unique experience: understanding French wine in a simple, independent and fun way.
Visitors will discover a boxed set of 3 x 10 cl bottles with double labels that reveal the identity of the wines after tasting, as well as an educational booklet with scratch-off areas for an introduction to the rudiments of oenology.
They’ll be able to familiarize themselves with the 3 great French red wines: Burgundy, Bordeaux and Côtes de Rhône. For WNE founder Grégoire Ducret, the challenge is to be “the worthy representative of the winegrowers who have placed their trust in me since the beginning of the adventure”. He adds: “Faced with the wines of the new world, French wine needs to modernize, to gain in simplicity and seduction.”
