Agent Provocateur’s new advertising campaign

There’s a place where excess is glorified, where the happy few bathe in champagne and lounge on silk cushions, where laughter echoes under disco balls and time is suspended until the midday sun slips through the shutters.

For its new AH14-15 season, Agent Provocateur returns to the sources of the blatant hedonism that marked the lingerie brand’s beginnings. The brand indulges in a world of excess, where secrets are never repeated, memories are crystallized and boundaries are forgotten. “In Paris you got to be seen at Maxim’s, The Palace, The “7” and then go Chez Régine” sang Amanda Lear in 1979.

Here, creative director Sarah Shotton attempts to capture the spirit of indolent vice and unashamed luxury for this Fall/Winter advertising campaign. Missy Rayder is the face of this photo campaign, and she shines as the star of the show. The Canadian brunette takes on her role with brio, blending into an opulent silk backdrop, playing with her glass of champagne.

For the images, Christian Larsson is at ease in the director’s chair, bringing his personal touch of sex appeal to the Agent Provocateur work. Larsson is known for directing music videos for Kylie Minogue, and this supercharged energy is reflected in the images for this Autumn-Winter campaign. He follows the journey of two characters visiting the Salon for the first time, and shares with us the outcome of this encounter.

Christian Larsson: “I’ve always been a big fan of Agent Provocateur…who isn’t? When they asked me to collaborate on this superb project, I jumped at the chance, as it was an opportunity to combine photography and short film, and to work with a great team. Storytelling that can be developed and realized throughout the year is very interesting and exciting.”

Sarah Shotton: “The images for the Autumn-Winter campaign reflect the excess of luxury in the fabulous 70s; my inspiration when designing this collection. I wanted to make sure that every detail, from the decadent décor to Missy Rayder’s ravishing beauty, emulated the very glamorous concept I had in mind. Christian Larsson is the perfect photographer for us, as his dark, voluptuous world has just the right dose of sex appeal with a hint of the avant-garde.”

Here are the exclusive first 2 visuals from Agent Provocateur’s new fall/winter 2014/2015 advertising campaign.
