On the menu: melting house-smoked stracciatella, truffle risotto, black diamond burger…
100% Homemade, 100% Foodporn, and all at low prices!
THE LITTLE ITALY
Just uttering those three words awakens an entire myth, nourished by films and books, faces and heroes, Scorcese and Pacino, flavors and moods. The Little Italy is a little Italy outside the walls, far from the boot. An Italy of the diaspora. From this exile, she has developed a strength where roots meet the new, where memories mingle with the great metropolises. New York, the first. The others, to follow.
It’s in this spirit that Garry Dorr, restaurateur by inclination, has created his new address: The Little Italy in Paris.
IL POSTO
When it comes to The Little Italy, you need to choose the right neighborhood. An environment with history, with memory. Here, the Place de Clichy, epicenter of a cult Paris. Pigalle is not far away, Batignolles close by, Montmartre just two strides away. For the past few seasons, the district has been making a comeback, a mix of bohemia and popu, energized by new scenes, young creation, the air of the times and the breath of trends.
LA CUCINA
On the menu, true to its Big Apple models, The Little Italy conjures up this diaspora cuisine, where the great transalpine classics rub shoulders with standards and more cita-dine creations. However, on the plate, whether it’s risotto or a Focaccia Burger, Italian culinariety asserts itself in the clarity of its products. All highly extracted, patiently “sourced” from the best of La Botte, virtuous in their use of organic and DOP (Italian AOC) methods, and unexpected in their discovery of nuggets such as Culatello di Zibello ham, hitherto unseen in France.
