The Mandarin Oriental hotel group has just announced the management of a luxury urban resort in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

In addition to 200 luxurious rooms and suites, the hotel will also offer 12 exclusive villas on stilts, served by a private walkway. Each villa will feature an infinity pool and a private pontoon offering direct access for a swim in the calm waters of the Persian Gulf.
All rooms, suites and villas will be designed with creativity and elegance, making the most of the exceptional views of the Persian Gulf. The greatest attention to detail will be applied to decoration, influenced by the region’s culture and the Group’s oriental heritage. They will also incorporate the Group’s technology and entertainment systems, developed exclusively for customers.
Mandarin Oriental, Dubai will offer several infinity pools, as an extension of the sea. The use of glass walls and ingenious exterior layouts will ensure true continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces.
With the ambition of offering one of the finest culinary experiences in the region, Mandarin Oriental, Dubai will feature nine restaurants and bars. A signature restaurant, nestled at the end of the jetty, will feature mooring facilities, allowing guests access by private yacht.
Other dining venues include a poolside restaurant, two lively bars, including one specially designed for sunset viewing, a lobby lounge, and a Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop. It will also offer a wide choice of modular rooms, including a 525-square-meter glass-walled ballroom opening onto a landscaped terrace overlooking the sea.
The Spa will offer the richest range of beauty treatments and massages in the region. Guests will enjoy the award-winning Mandarin Oriental Signature programs, as well as treatments specially inspired by local wellness traditions. The 2,800-square-meter Spa will feature 12 spacious treatment rooms, including three suites for couples and a private VIP suite with its own entrance and thermal facilities. The Spa will also offer water and heat therapies, a revitalizing pool, indoor and outdoor pools and a fitness center. Finally, the hotel will have its own Beach Club on Jumeirah Beach with a wide range of water sports activities.
The project is owned by Dubai Real Estate Corporation (DREC), developed by wasl Hospitality LLC and designed by Jeffrey Wilkes.
Mandarin Oriental, Dubai is located on Jumeirah Beach Road, lined with boutiques, restaurants and upscale residences. The hotel is close to both of the city’s airports, 25 minutes from Dubai International Airport and 45 minutes from Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport.
Over the past decade, the city of Dubai has distinguished itself as a regional and global tourist destination offering a wide range of attractions: kilometers of sandy beaches, the famous Gold Souk, the Ski Dubai winter sports resort, the artificial islands of Palm Island, and safaris in the Dubai desert. Known as a major commercial hub, the city offers a wide range of shopping options, including the Dubai Mall, one of the world’s largest shopping malls. Dubai is also recognized as a world-class center of architecture and is home to Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower.
