Ô Chateau: temple of wine

Historically renowned for its English-language tastings for foreigners visiting Paris, Ô Chateau is now a fine wine bar and restaurant. This space dedicated to wine offers an initiatory voyage around a dizzying selection of bottles to savor by the glass…or not! It’s accompanied by creative, contemporary cuisine. A resolutely hedonistic spirit. A beautiful address!

Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau has seen a proliferation of trendy restaurants and bars in recent years. Now we must add O Chateau to the list. This wine bar is well worth a visit.

Every week, 40 wines are offered by the glass at reasonable prices (from €2 to €350 for the rarest wines), making prestigious wines accessible to the greatest number. This extraordinary range, representing all the great French vineyards with a few forays into new wine-producing countries, is a real incentive to set off on a voyage of discovery and exercise your taste buds! All carefully preserved under inert gas, served at an impeccable temperature and presented with as much pedagogy as enthusiasm.
The Quebec sommelier is an excellent guide. Full of humor and subtlety, he’ll help you discover nuggets.

For an aperitif, a quick dinner on the terrace when the weather’s fine, or a cozy drink at the bar, they are accompanied by delicious boards of charcuterie and cheeses carefully selected from small producers (from €18 to €21), plates of Auvergne sausage (€8), Bellota sausage (€18) or excellent homemade foie gras (€18).
