Comics Selection

Today, superheroes are everywhere, thanks in no small part to film adaptations.
If you’re a fan, or just want to get back to the source, here’s a selection of the best comics of the moment. Enjoy !
At DC, the “Rebirth” event turned everything upside down.
All the comics have been relaunched once again, on a new basis and with new creative teams. And Superman is undoubtedly the superhero most affected (not forgetting, of course, Flash, the origin of the famous “Flashpoint”). In short, for the past 5 years, the “Renaissance” period has offered us a new version of the Man of Steel. His identity had been revealed, his powers had diminished and his battle with Vandal Savage had exhausted him. In the end, he died, leaving the Earth and the Justice League in shock… However, the Superman of the “Classic” period (before the “Renaissance”) had survived and lived in the shadows, with his wife Lois (married in 1996) and young son Jonathan, rarely intervening to save the planet or protect his family. When the “Renaissance” Superman passed away, the “Classic” Superman finally decided to reappear in broad daylight. First fights with the JL against the Semblables and with the family against the Eradicator.
An exciting saga, intelligently written yet complex, to be found at Urban Comics in “Superman Le Règne de Savage” (by Greg Pak, Peter J. Tomasi…), “Superman Requiem” (Peter J. Tomasi, Dale Eaglesham, Scott Eaton…), “Superman Loïs&Clark” (Dans Jurgens, Lee Weeks), “Superman Le fils de Superman” (by the indispensable Peter J. Tomasi, Jorge Jimenez…) and “Justice League Les Machines du Chaos” by star Bryan Hitch (“Ultimates”) and Tony S. Daniel.
In parallel, “Batman Rebirth: My Name is Gotham” (Urban Comics) introduces us to a new pair of vigilantes, Gotham and Gotham Girl, who also want to protect their city. A true blockbuster from David Finch and Tom King.

Marvel’s most famous adventures of the web weaver are collected in “I am Spider-Man” (Panini Comics). On the program: his origins, the death of Gwen Stacy, Venom, 9/11…A luxurious reference work, which allows readers to (re)discover legendary artists: Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, Gil Kane, Todd McFarlane, JM Straczynski, John Romita Jr…
In parallel, Daredevil fans will be delighted to witness the explosive reunion between Matt Murdock and Elektra (mother of a child!) in “Bluffer in Sight” (Vol. 2), accompanied by two other original stories, with a Spider-Man bonus. Charles Soule and Matteo Buffagni are among the artists at the helm of these explosive adventures.

Finally, if you’re looking for lunch or dinner in a truly American atmosphere, the “Five Guys” restaurants are sure to please. Visit the Champs-Elysées to discover the menu and the particularly seductive atmosphere.
