Balmain’s Kerria watch borrows its arabesque lines from violin scrolls and takes its name from a magnificent flowering shrub. Turning this dream into reality required skill, determination and a good pinch of patience and passion. And if, from a technical point of view, it was far from easy, the range of Swiss watches that saw the light of day leaves no doubt that it was well worth the effort. The Kerria watch seduces with its elegance, its feminine charm, its magnified self-assurance.
The Kerria range, comprising 22 models, is defined by the sophisticated character of its exceptional case. Harmoniously united by fluid lines, the case and bracelet are linked by a central attachment, an emblematic feature of Balmain creations. On some models, the final visual scroll evokes the softness of Art Nouveau lines. On others, this ornament is the crystallization point for sparkling diamonds. Other diamonds count the hours and, on some models in the range, highlight the case.
Balmain’s emblematic arabesque decoration, inspired by the world of botany, is set against a delicate two-tone backdrop that plays with light with every movement of the wrist. At times, the arabesque is outlined on the dial in finely worked metal in relief. Whether worn with a silk cocktail dress or on the wrist of a pretty rocker, the Kerria watch is perfect for any occasion. Its trio of metals (pink PVD, yellow PVD and silvered stainless steel) will suit all tastes and desires. Its design is enhanced by a crocodile pattern leather strap in a choice of black or white. The heart and soul of the Kerria: a Swiss quartz movement ETA 902.002. Once again, Balmain has found the most beautiful way to express itself with flowers.
