Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Ultra-Thin Perpetual Calendar returns to the big screen in Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated supernatural adventure Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Directed by Sam Raimi and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, the film will be released in France on May 4 and in the USA on May 6, 2022.
Already in the Marvel Studios film Doctor Strange (2016, the watch is still an integral part of the story of the main character played by Benedict Cumberbatch, a long-time friend of the House of Jaeger-LeCoultre. Present at several stages of his journey through the mystic arts, the watch is a tangible reminder of key events in Doctor Strange’s past and present. The Master Ultra-Thin Perpetual Calendar is the quintessence of refinement and contemporary elegance. A highly complex mechanism, the perpetual calendar takes into account the irregularities of the calendar and automatically adjusts to the number of days in each month and to leap years. As long as it is wound regularly, this perpetual calendar needs no adjustment until 2100, and no adjustment for 400 years after that.
