Château Hosten Grand Vin Blanc 2015 is a blend of 82% Sauvignon Blanc, 17% Sauvignon
Château Fourcas Hosten is located in the heart of Listrac-Médoc, the Médoc’s youngest communal appellation. Producing a great white wine is not just a desire of the owners, it’s above all an opportunity to exploit the qualities of a great terroir, and at the estate, we like to remember that Listrac-Médoc was once renowned for its excellent red and white wines.
After letting the soil rest for over four years and enriching it with natural materials such as barley and vetch, the first vines were planted in 2012 on two hectares of former clay-limestone plots. Soil studies have determined the appropriate grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris, while Sémillon, planted later, will not really make its appearance until the 2016 vintage. The creation of the Fourcas Hosten white is also an opportunity to develop the vineyard’s first experience of organic viticulture.
Château Hosten Grand Vin Blanc 2015 is a blend of 82% Sauvignon Blanc, 17% Sauvignon
Gris, 1% Semillon. An aromatic profile of white flowers heralds a full, elegant structure for an intense, fresh
finish.
Château Fourcas Hosten Blanc 2015 is available at the estate for 25 euros incl. tax.
