2013 will be the first vintage of Clos Dubreuil.
From his vinifications in Australia Benoit Trocard, owner of the Clos Dubreuil located on the Saint-Emilion plateau, has a real passion for the Chardonnay grape variety. So in 2010 he decided to plant this variety on an area of 0.80 hectares on a clay-limestone soil facing south.
2013 will be the first vintage of Clos Dubreuil.
Dubreuil Chardonnay 2016 is the only 100% Chardonnay Vin de France produced in Saint-Emilion. After an entirely manual harvest, Dubreuil Chardonnay is aged for 10 months in oak barrels (30% new).
This wine has a pale yellow color with green reflections. Intense bouquet revealing notes of acacia flower and citrus fruits. Mineral touch. Slight note of banana. Fruity and racy on the palate. The body has flesh and muscle. Elegant and racy character in the finish. A thirst-quenching, complex and fruity Chardonnay. The balance between fruit, freshness and sweetness is perfect. Dubreuil Chardonnay 2016 is the fourth vintage on very young vines, it will be ready to drink within 1 year and should evolve very well within 4 to 6 years. This cuvée already shows the full potential of this wonderful terroir. A very gastronomic wine!
