Domaine Jean Féry et Fils is a four-generation family-run estate in Burgundy, with ten hectares of vineyards stretching from the Côte de Nuits to the Côte de Beaune in some twenty Appellations: Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Vougeot, Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-les-Beaune, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Corton grand cru, among others.
Montrachet1er cru “Abbaye de Morgeot” 2014 has a beautiful, brilliant color with silver highlights. The nose is expressive, generous and deep. It first evokes pear, then various flowers: hawthorn and peony in particular.
Expressive and clean on the palate, with a clean attack and well-balanced acidity. The palate is dense, balanced and long. Yellow fruits appear first, then give way to notes of citrus peel and toasted brioche.
It has very good ageing potential and will be ready to drink in 3 to 4 years. Chassagne-Montrachet1er cru “Abbaye de Morgeot” 2014 is a great wine of character and elegance. It goes perfectly with white fish, poultry in sauce or dry goat’s cheese.
Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru “Abbaye de Morgeot” 2014 is available at the public price of 39€.
