At a breakfast organized in the Peninsula Hotel Paris with the group’s management, we were able to discover all the new features of this international, family-run hotel group.

Here’s what’s new in the group:

-Organized at Peninsula hotels, “L’Art en rose” features works by international artists, as well as inventive dinners and events in the color pink, to raise funds for breast cancer charities.

Once again this year, Peninsula establishments are dressing in pink throughout the month of October to support the fight against breast cancer. For its fifth anniversary, the “Peninsula en rose” initiative takes on an artistic touch in 2015, becoming “L’Art en rose”. In keeping with the Peninsula Group’s worldwide commitment to the arts, each of the Group’s establishments will be exhibiting predominantly pink works, specially commissioned for this operation from renowned international artists, including the world-famous photographer Chen Man in Shanghai, Chinese contemporary painter and installation artist Qin Feng in Beijing, Thailand’s most famous draughtsman Chiratorn Chirapravati in Bangkok, world-famous Peruvian artist Grimanesa Amorós in New York, French sculptor Nathalie Decoster in Paris, and renowned Korean artist Choi Jeong Hwa in Chicago.

-Peninsula hotels celebrate the spirit of giving with SnowPage luxury plush inspired by each destination, lavish prizes and sharing Christmas joy with the family

The Peninsula Hotels share the festive spirit of the end of the year with the elegant return of SnowPage, the adorable ambassador of the Christmas season, as well as the chance to enjoy the best of the Peninsula experience thanks to “Golden Tickets”, which reserve sumptuous prizes for the whole family. Having raised over $1.5 million since its launch in 2003, The Peninsula Hotels’ holiday fundraising campaign will benefit from a makeover of the group’s iconic SnowPage mascot and his outfits. Proceeds from sales will be donated in part to the Make-A-Wish® Foundation and various local children’s charities.

-New Peninsula Academy programs for unforgettable family moments

The Peninsula Academy, the emblematic program of Peninsula establishments, unveils a selection of new offers to provide original activities that will delight even the most seasoned travelers. For its inauguration, The Peninsula Paris Academy will offer a range of captivating experiences for young and old to discover the City of Light.

-When sound meets elegance: The Peninsula Hotels team up with Beats by Dr. Dre

Guests at Peninsula properties will enjoy an incredible listening experience. The luxury hotel chain is launching a unique partnership with Beats by Dr. Dre, whose leading audio products can be used free of charge by guests during their stay.

-The Peninsula Hotels joins forces with LUXE City Guides to publish exclusive PenCities guides to each Peninsula destination.

The Peninsula Hotels and travel guide publisher LUXE City Guides have strengthened their collaboration, which began three years ago, with the launch of the print version of the exclusive PenCities guides published by LUXE for each of the ten Peninsula destinations around the world.

-The Peninsula Mobile Experience puts luxury hotels just a click away and gives guests quick access to PenCities by Luxe guides to Peninsula destinations.

Traveling to a foreign country for medical treatment can be a trying experience. That’s why Peninsula hotels in New York and Chicago have instituted a program to support their foreign guests at every stage of their stay, with a dedicated concierge and a comprehensive program of personalized services that include menus adapted to special diets, a hospital meal delivery service and complimentary transportation to medical appointments.

A 190-room hotel project, dubbed The Peninsula London, has been submitted to Westminster City Council with a view to opening a new establishment at one of the British capital’s most sought-after addresses.

-Public announcement of plans to open a hotel in Istanbul, Turkey

The Board of Directors of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited is pleased to announce the signing of a shareholders’ agreement on July 7, 2015, with PIHA, SLI, Doğuş Holding and BLG, concerning the creation of a joint venture relating to a proposed establishment in Istanbul. Subject to approval of the transaction by the competition authorities, PIHA and SLI will each hold a 50% stake in the joint venture. The project involves the development, in the Salıpazarı port area, of a luxury hotel through the JVCo.tanbul joint venture. – To be confirmed with Corporate Affairs

-Project to open a hotel in Rangoon, Burma

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited (HSH) has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Singapore’s Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd (Yoma) for a project to open a hotel in Rangoon, Burma, in the buildings of the former headquarters of the Burma Railway Company, located on Bogyoke Aung San Road in Rangoon.

As the world’s most famous spy returns to the silver screen in Spectre, The Peninsula Hong Kong pays tribute to James Bond with a unique photographic exhibition featuring images by legendary British photographer Terry O’Neill and a series of top-secret events and promotions, all for your viewing pleasure.

James Bond and The Peninsula Hong Kong have a long-standing affinity, linked by their intertwined histories of charm, refinement and timeless style. So it’s hardly surprising that Asia’s Grande Dame is celebrating the release of the latest film in the adventures of the world’s most famous secret agent with a series of themed events. Kicking things off will be a unique photographic exhibition by legendary photographer Terry O’Neill, entitled “All About Bond at The Peninsula”, ahead of the Hong Kong premiere of Spectre in November 2015.

The Peninsula Shanghai has been named “Best Hotel in Asia” by the readers of Travel + Leisure, an influential American travel and lifestyle magazine. The Peninsula Shanghai topped the readers’ survey in the “Best Hotel in Asia” category, with an impressive score of 96 out of 100. Although it only opened its doors in October 2009, the Bund hotel confirmed its excellent reputation among discerning travelers in China, Asia and around the world, ranking eighth on the list of the world’s top 100 hotels.

The Peninsula Shanghai, the world’s first hotel to offer the low-emission BMW i8 hybrid sports car in its luxury fleet

The Peninsula Shanghai confirms its commitment to clean energy and environmental preservation by including the BMW i8 hybrid sports car in its fleet of luxury vehicles. The BMW i8, which joins a hotel’s fleet of vehicles for the first time anywhere in the world, was unveiled at a special ceremony on Wednesday June 10 on the forecourt of The Peninsula Shanghai. The launch of the i8 is the latest in a series of initiatives undertaken by The Peninsula Shanghai and premium German carmaker BMW as part of an eco-friendly partnership, which also includes the provision of three free electric vehicle charging stations in The Peninsula Shanghai’s parking lot.

Luxury toy brand Papinee has designed and manufactured 10 limited editions of the SnowPage plush toy, each representing a Peninsula destination around the world. Papinee’s SnowPage mascot for Peninsula Paris is inspired by the golden age of the 1920s, when the City of Light was home to masterpieces of theater, literature and art. Sporting the legendary Peninsula pageboy cap, the Peninsula Paris plushie wears a richly embroidered jacket inspired by the hotel’s iconic architecture, the “Dancing Leaves” art installation in The Lobby, and the contemporary Terrasse Kléber at the hotel’s entrance.
