The seventh edition of Menart Fair, held in Paris from 23 to 25 October, sees Boucheron launch a prize: the “Coup de cœur Boucheron” goes to Emirati artist Maitha Abdalla, whom the Maison singles out for her work “Hug My Land”.

For the first award of its prize, Boucheron chose Emirati artist Maitha Abdalla. The “Coup de cœur Boucheron” is presented at Menart Fair, a contemporary art fair whose seventh edition takes place in Paris from 23 to 25 October 2026. Maison Boucheron has been a partner since 2024.

The prize aims to highlight an artist from the MENA region, the Middle East and North Africa, and to give her resonance on the international art scene. Hélène Poulit-Duquesne, the Maison’s Chief Executive Officer, presents the award at the unveiling of the artist’s work, “Hug My Land”, on 22 October 2026.

“Hug My Land” is the work for which Maitha Abdalla was selected. The artist describes it as an almost physical relationship with the land: what it passes on, what is projected onto it, what one continues to carry within oneself after moving away from it. Boucheron says it chose the artist for her creative freedom, her vision and her artistic rigour.

For Hélène Poulit-Duquesne, this prize celebrates women artists who create freely and shift boundaries. She sees in “Hug My Land” a work deeply rooted in the culture of her country, whose message resonates far beyond it.

Since 2024, Boucheron has supported Menart Fair. With the “Coup de cœur”, this support takes the form of a named award, addressed to emerging artistic creation from the MENA region.

Laure d’Hauteville, founder and director of Menart Fair, draws a parallel between Maitha Abdalla’s work and the world of the Maison: the same attention to identity, transmission and creative freedom, and the same conviction that a heritage remains alive when it opens new territories.
