For its twentieth anniversary, the perfume House Etat Libre d’Orange publishes the first Advent calendar in its history: twelve windows, twelve new stories, from 14 to 25 December. A festive format that extends the taste for narrative that its perfume names already signal.
The Etat Libre d’Orange calendar is a limited edition dressed in deep blue and gilding, conceived as a collector’s object. Its twelve windows open from 14 to 25 December. Each holds a creation and the fable imagined around it: twelve new stories, twelve scented surprises.
The contents mix formats. Four 8 ml eau de parfum miniatures bring together You or Someone Like You, Hermann à mes côtés me paraissait une ombre, The Ghost in the Shell and Remarkable People. Two 10 ml travel sizes, from the Collection Orange Extraordinaire, hold Experimentum Crucis and Nostos. A 50 ml eau de parfum bottle of You or Someone Like You completes the liquid part.
The perfume then spills out of the bottle. Three miniature 70 g scented candles take up You or Someone Like You, Divin Enfant and Hermann à mes côtés me paraissait une ombre. Two scented accessories end the series: a scented ceramic and a scentable scarf.
The choice of the tale stems from the very material of the collection. Titles such as Hermann à mes côtés me paraissait une ombre or Nostos are already sentences, openings of stories. The calendar gives them a daily frame, one window a day until Christmas, and turns the discovery of a perfume into an appointment.
The Etat Libre d’Orange 2026 calendar is sold for €300 on etatlibredorange.com and in the House’s two Paris boutiques.
