Yesterday, the famous Champagne house G.H.Mumm hosted an evening in an art gallery with a sublime view over Paris. The brand was celebrating a new partnership with artist Noma Bar. Bewitching!

G.H.Mumm had chosen a venue in the image of its champagne: elegant and airy. The venue was Place Dauphine. At 7.30pm, we boarded a small elevator. We discovered the venue, decorated in the brand’s colors, with two beautiful balconies and a breathtaking view of the Seine and Place Dauphine. This is the former apartment of Bono from the U2 group.

As for the guests, the crème de la crème of the gastronomic and luxury press were invited (Journal du Luxe, Luxe magazine…and of course Luxsure! ). The elegant Sébastien Foulard of Alambic magazine and the Technikart team were also present. At the turntables, actor Aurélien Wiik distills a beautiful soundtrack.

As an aperitif, enjoy Cordon Rouge with ham and small slices of pesto. A lovely pairing. This champagne really does have shoulders.
Elegant waiters pour glasses non-stop.

At 8:30 p.m., the new creation is presented to the guests. A work which plays on the contrast between a flute and a bottle.
G.H.MUMM Art of Pairing, a case with fluid lines which, from the outset, is part of the Noma Bar universe, instantly proposing two images in one: a red and white lacquered motif alternating three flutes and three bottles. Each of the three bottles is in fact a “wing” that unfurls around the case, forming a corolla that stages the tasting: the wings metamorphose into three trays and the case, enhanced by its base, into a champagne bucket. A subtle evocation of the combination of food and wine, the interior of the dishes is made of polished pewter, decorated with the bottle motif. Slightly curved, each dish can accommodate a few dishes, while the end has a notch in the shape of a champagne cork to accommodate a flute.

Made in a limited edition of five, G.H.MUMM Art of Pairing contains a magnum of G.H.MUMM Cordon Rouge. Placed in the case that has become a champagne bucket, proudly bearing the famous red ribbon, it illustrates Noma Bar’s desire to combine aesthetics and functionality.

After the presentation, new workshops open. On the Gastronomy side, Jean-Pierre Vigato is in charge. Blanc des noirs” is served with ham.
“Le Blanc des Blancs” with shrimps. Finally, with the Brut grand cru, we serve smoked salmon dishes.
