G.H.MUMM UNVEILS ITS LATEST COLLABORATION “SABRE” WITH FAMOUS DESIGNER ROSS LOVEGROVE
A few days ago, we set off for the Opéra Garnier to discover the latest creation from the G.H.MUMM Champagne House: the Sabre G.H.MUMM signed by designer Ross Lovegrove, a contemporary interpretation of one of the great champagne rituals.
In fact, we had the pleasure of pouring champagne ourselves.
Following an initial collaboration with French designer Patrick Jouin in 2011, G.H.MUMM completes its “Sabres” collection by choosing Ross Lovegrove for his visionary and innovative approach. The designer has perfected a timeless object, fashioned from the gesture itself, adopting minimalist, fluid forms.
“I was totally seduced by the gesture and experience of Sabrage, which inspired me to create a piece with smooth, flowing forms that suggests restraint and a moment of revelation,” explains Ross Lovegrove.
Charles de Belenet, International Marketing Director at Martell Mumm Perrier-Jouët, explains: “The G.H.MUMM Sabre is a truly contemporary work, combining two worlds: that of a historic Champagne House, always at the forefront of technological progress, and that of a designer recognized as one of the leaders of 21st-century aesthetic expression”.
The G.H.MUMM Sabre is offered in its Deluxe box by G.H.MUMM – which contains a magnum of the legendary Cordon Rouge. This limited edition will be on sale exclusively from November 15 to 30, 2013 at Colette at 213 rue Saint-Honoré in Paris at the recommended retail price of €950, then at the finest wine merchants.
