L’Eau du Trente Quatre, mischievous freshness…
Like a matter of course, the 34 boulevard saint-germain line is expanding, with a springtime version of its new eau de toilette: L’Eau du Trente Quatre.
Eau – a nod to the house’s very first fragrance, l’Eau de diptyque – at once sophisticated and easy-going. In fact, it’s a mischievous interpretation with a different take on the bd Saint-Germain boutique, just when the tide is turning and greener notes take precedence over the warmer, more sensual scents we recognize in eau de toilette 34 boulevard saint germain.
“Men and women, young and old, will recognize themselves in it. This time, the aromatic notes of rosemary, clove and blackcurrant play a muted role. Thanks to citrus, L’Eau du Trente -Quatre is reassuring and timeless,” says Olivier Pescheux.
Right from the start, a surge of bitter orange, verbena, lemon, grapefruit and lavender, spiced up with a hint of nutmeg, juniper berries and cinnamon leaves, brings a playful freshness to the fragrance, supported by the green accord of birch leaf, borrowed from Philosykos. The heart is organized around Egyptian geranium and voluptuous tuberose on a base of Virginia cedar, patchouli, a hint of incense and Spanish rockrose. Finally, luminous musks lend just the right amount of softness and sensuality to this beautiful balance.
L’Eau du Trente Quatre is available from March 2013 at €75 for 50ml and €95 for 100ml.
