The purchase of Vogue Paris is almost mandatory for those who love fashion, respect it, and appreciate all the editorial content of the magazine. My stupor was enormous, no, it was not stupor but a deep uneasiness when the model who illustrates the fashion pages of the shooting “commando” of the photographer David Sims appeared to me. I’m not surprised to see skinny girls in fashion pages but I am when I see a scrawny model. We are in a society where fashion and physical appearance are paramount to success, but these pages and the choice of the model is an apology to extreme thinness, and anorexia. I find it dangerous to submit this image as aesthetic and make it seem ideal. Playing the card of the extreme is a choice that Vogue Paris has made in this case I beg him to make pose obese women. Illusion. I shouldn’t have been surprised to discover these fashion pages, they are part of a continuity. I would have been much more so if curvy or “normal” women had been chosen. Hell no! Who would dare? Especially not Vogue.
