In June 2026, the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa was awarded the “Palace” distinction by Atout France. This is a significant achievement: it is the first property in the Grand Est region to join this exclusive group.

Awarded for a period of three years, the Palace distinction goes beyond the five-star rating. It takes into account the location, historical or cultural significance, quality of service, and uniqueness of the experience.

The property overlooks the Champagne hillsides, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A former 19th-century coaching inn, the property features 47 rooms and suites overlooking the vineyards, a 1,500 m² spa in partnership with myBlend, and gourmet cuisine by Christophe Raoux, winner of the 2015 Meilleur Ouvrier de France award and a Michelin-starred chef.

Champagne has long been a source of global soft power. With this distinction, it also reaffirms its status as a leading player in the hospitality industry.
