Piaget Rose passion
Roses in passion,
The queen of flowers, the rose has unleashed Yves Piaget’s passions since the 1960s, enriching his watch and jewelry collections with its presence. A fervent lover of the rose, in 1979 he created the trophy for the International New Rose Competition in Geneva, and presented the winner with a gold rose made by his workshops. It wasn’t until 1982 that his gift was rewarded by the latter, who, under the aegis of Maison horticole Meilland, created the “Rose Yves Piaget”. “Rose Yves Piaget”.
The “Rose Pink ” Piaget Rose, with its eighty serrated petals, has an intoxicating fragrance that gives it a very special place in the world of roses. Like all Piaget jewels, it is undoubtedly the “Queen of Flowers”.
Paying homage to this passion that runs through its history, Piaget is involved in the project to renovate the rose garden at theChâteau de Malmaison created by Marie Joséphine Rose, known as Joséphine de Beauharnais -the firstwife of Emperor Napoleon I, which she acquired in 1799.
The French nursery, which was built in 1805 and housed over 200 exotic plants and 250 old roses, was in danger of disappearing. Thanks to the patronage of the Maison Piaget and the Musée de Malmaison, 750 rosebushes bring a woman’s work back to life.
From this passionate love was born the Piaget Haute Joaillerie collection ” Rose Passion “; 100 models of jewelry and haute joaillerie as well as Métiers d’Art pieces, including 75 jewels and 25 watches of unparalleled beauty.
Signature,
The jeweler’s traditional know-how is combined with virtuosity to create a modern timepiece made exclusively in Piaget’s workshops.
The vast collection of multi-wear jewelry is inspired by Empire motifs from Josephine’s world, and uses haute joaillerie techniques. Combs and tiaras embody all the luxury and savoir-faire of Piaget.
The collection is bold, like the majestic parrot where precious stones (yellow diamonds, emeralds, pink sapphires) and hard stones (chrysocolla, chrysoprase, chalcedony) dance together in a luminous round of predominantly pink and green.
…Contemporary thanks to the“Headband” of diamonds set in floral motifs articulated around laurel branches, whose leaves are represented by marquise-cut diamonds…
Exotic, colorful jewels, undoubtedly reminiscent of the Empress’s Martinican origins, stand side by side with rose-shaped cuff and secret watches, set with diamonds on leather or pearl bracelets.
Know-how
Born at the end of the 60’s, from the claw setting, the petticoat setting used by Piaget brings fullness and volume to pieces where each calibrated stone requires a precise, technically complex adjustment. In a play of light and contrast – between diamonds and yellow, orange or pink sapphires – the dials of the “Rose Elégante” watches undulate in a corolla of baguette-cut stones.
Precise swaddling and fine clawed bezels, individually handcrafted by the Maison’s jewellery artisans, gently embrace feminine curves.
For its Métiers d’art watches, Piaget has teamed up with craftsmen with specific know-how. For example, the art of fine stone engraving – or glyptic work – gives relief and emotion to each rose petal in the collection.
Cloisonné enamel uses a delicate Grand Feu technique. Finely ground and then cleaned, the enamel is then heated to fill cavities outlined with gold threads. The patterns thus defined and filled are again heated and covered with transparent enamel. This delicate art gives depth to jewelry, thanks to the play of transparent colors.
Resolutely feminine, modern and moving, the Piaget Rose Passion collection is the image of this exceptional woman: Extraordinary.
