Roland Garros is the highlight of the early summer season! This famous clay-court tennis tournament, named after a rugby player, was first held in 1925, and has gone from strength to strength over the years. As part of the Grand Slam, famous artists from all walks of life travel to France simply to attend (e.g. actor Leonardo Dicaprio and his family!).
This year, the darling is Djokovic, whose goodwill is skyrocketing, thanks in particular to this scene with his ball boy, which will be remembered for a long time to come:
At Roland Garros, there’s always a great atmosphere, good food and sunbathing when the weather’s nice. It was a real pleasure to be able to admire Federer ‘s or Sharapova’ s prowess in the sunshine, which may be a little temperamental, but which is always present most of the time.
Roland Garros is also full of secrets, superstitions and unusual places… Unchanged locker numbers for some (Nadal and his locker n°159, Djokovic and the 139 …), the 4 tons of pasta eaten during the season, the famous hawk release at dawn… So many beautiful stories that reinforce the mythical Roland Garros tournament…
Who do you think will win Roland Garros 2014? We’re waiting for your predictions!
