Nestled in the heart of the Highlands, the GlenDronach distillery is renowned for its expertise in the art of maturation in sherry casks, which it patiently ages between its high, blackened stone walls. It is in this very special atmosphere that the very limited edition GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 8 is created.
The fruit of 10 years of double maturation and softened by partial blending in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and Oloroso sherry casks, this 61° cask strength brut offers a wonderful insight into the distillery’s unique character.
Produced using traditional methods, GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 8 develops a rich, full-bodied profile, with all the depth of its long maturation in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso casks.
Its deep gold color reveals sandalwood and rich Colombian coffee on the nose, combined with notes of Manuka honey, Brazil nuts and blond tobacco. The complex palate reveals aromas of caramel macchiato and cherry chocolate cake. The generosity of the sherry quickly permeates the palate, with a long, savory
cocoa finish.
