Located in Champagne, 200km from Paris, the Nigloland amusement park offers a nice alternative to Disneyland and Parc Astérix and is really worth the trip.
1. A park on a human scale
Nigloland offers a great range of attractions for both children and adults. The atmosphere is good-natured, family-oriented. The employees are friendly, 350 people work in this park. Nigloland is a clean place, really well maintained, we feel good there. The park is on a human scale. Nigloland does not extend over an inordinate area. The attractions are close to each other. Teens can go to the Grizzly, a platform that makes you sweat. The youngest will enjoy the caterpillar or the Ferris wheel which offers a panoramic view of the park. 39 attractions are offered.
2. The world’s largest rotating free-fall tower
With the Extreme Dungeon, Nigloland launched the world’s largest rotating freefall tower this year. This unique attraction is for the most courageous. During the ascent, visitors enjoy a 360° view of the park, followed by a free fall of 100 meters. This attraction will seduce the fans of strong sensations. This is one of the strengths of the park, being able to satisfy the whole family.
3. You won’t be waiting in line for an hour!
The big disadvantage of parks like Disney or Asterix is the sometimes enormous waiting time to access an attraction. This can clearly ruin the day, especially with young children. At Nigloland, this is not the case, even on weekends. In the morning, the lines are almost non-existent or limited to a few people very often.
4. The gargantuan and refined buffet of the Pirates Hotel
A few steps away from the amusement park, the Hotel des Pirates, a 4-star hotel, invites visitors to extend their stay in a decor inspired by the most beautiful pirate legends. The hotel has 30 very spacious family rooms with refined comfort. The hotel offers to its visitors free and varied animations, magic show, make-up workshop, balloon sculpture…
The hotel’s restaurant run by David Marlien is a nice surprise. Superb buffets are offered in the evening. Starters, main courses, cheeses and desserts are appetizing and well presented. We enjoy it!
5. Discover the region
In Aube, you can also take the opportunity to discover the Champagne region with its cellars. For example, Drappier, which has already been mentioned here and there. But also the Barfontarc House. In the surroundings, the landscapes are magnificent, the vineyards stretch for miles.
