Russian designer Valentin Yudashkin’s new baroque collection for Spring/Summer 2014 drew all eyes to the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris on this presentation day.

The collection, which draws on silhouettes from the 80s and 90s, was presented to music by the band Preatures, a direct reference to the hits of those years.

Models with natural complexions and embellished lips walk and parade in cinched waists and wide shoulder pads. Marble-white and gold are omnipresent, in all shades but also with brightly colored prints inspired by animal mythology.

A visually sensed flashback scrolls by in declensions.

Touches of color, such as emerald green, sunshine yellow and royal blue, round out this baroque, artistic collection.

Silk chiffon, embroidered with handmade sequins, gold beads and avant-garde bustiers combine to create a veritable collection of Valentin Yudashkin’s works of art in motion.
