LA FOLIE DOUCE x DENNY IMBROISI
THE ITALIAN CHEF SIGNS THE MAP OF THE CUCÙCINA (VAL D’ISERE)!
Denny Imbroisi, the most Italian of French chefs, arrives at La Cucùcina Val d’Isère.
The chef has signed the menu of the latest addition to La Folie Douce!
Called La Cucùcina, a contraction of Cucina (kitchen in Italian) and cucù (crazy in Italian).
Its name alone evokes both madness and Italian gastronomy. A tavola!
It’s a colorful and flavorful collaboration for La Folie Douce!
Denny Imbroisy, a talented and energetic young chef who made a notable appearance on Top Chef, has cut his teeth alongside such great chefs as Mauro Colagreco, William Ledeuil and Alain Ducasse. Today, working alongside Franck Mischler (Executive Chef of La Folie Douce), he is creating the 100% Italian menu of La Folie Douce’s latest restaurant, La Cucùcina.
” I’m very excited about this collaboration! For me, La Folie Douce is synonymous with celebration, color, joy and, above all, good food. So I was delighted to work on this Italian menu”.
The menu he proposes at La Cucùcina will be in his own image and that of La Folie Douce: joyful and generous, gourmet and creative.
Italian cuisine bursting with flavor!

Pastas, of course, are on the menu, but the chef also wanted to take guests on a journey to a more creative and refined gastronomic Italy. Just like his Carpaccio di Sicilia. A carpaccio of gamberoni (shrimp) seasoned with coral juice and black garlic.
Or his Pollo alla diavola, a superb poultry cooked in a crapaudine style, served with creamy polenta mosto cotto (cooked grape must) and grapes. For those with a sweet tooth, Il profiterole di Cucùcina: vanilla cream, salted butter caramel heart and hot chocolate coulis
What a journey…
An exceptional setting inspired by the Italian Renaissance.
A surrealist showcase in terms of size (and ceiling height), this new restaurant’s decor is inspired by the studios of Italian Renaissance artists, and pays particular tribute to the genius of Leonardo da Vinci.
For this new restaurant, the finest materials were used to create a unique ambience. Marble, bricks handmade one by one in France, wood and mosaics make up a decor worthy of a theater.
Here and there are busts and sculptures, including a majestic horse over 4 metres high.
A solid wood table d’hôtes sits at the center of the restaurant and serves as a stage for the artists.
A monumental staircase leads to the mezzanine overlooking the restaurant’s main dining room.
The highlight of the new restaurant is the breathtaking view of the Italian side of Mont Blanc, which guests can admire through the huge picture windows.
An exceptional air show!
Every day, the dancers at La Folie Douce perform a fantastic aerial show. Choreographed by Kely Starlight, they soar acrobatically several meters above the ground.
