Converse x Bugs Bunny ” 80th anniversary “: when two icons meet
The famous phrase uttered by the world’s most famous animated rabbit, “Uh, what’s up, doc?” has a ready-made answer today.
Converse and Bugs Bunny join forces to celebrate the 80th birthday of Looney Tunes’ most famous character.
This celebration features three Chuck Taylor All Star, one Chuck 70’s and one Pro Leather as well as a clothing line.
The Chuck Taylor All Star are each available in adult, junior and child sizes, unified through the most iconic of Bug Bunny graphics, celebrating the expressiveness and evolution of Looney Tunes over the course of 80 years.
All three pairs have a tongue with the theme ” 80 years of Bugs Bunny ”
Made famous by basketball player Julius “Dr.J’Erving”, the Pro Leather takes on a more sober style with a smooth nubuck upper complemented by suede details applied to the logo.
The famous “What’s Up Doc? What’s Up Doc? “embossed on the side of the sneaker. Finally, a mini carrot is embroidered on the back of the pair.
Still paying homage to the rabbit, the Chuck 70’s is also in the rabbit’s image. Featuring a faux-fur upper with gray shag, the pair is set on an off-white sole, while the star logo is adorned with a new background in the orange colors of the famous Looney Tunes theme song. Finally, Bug Bunny is embroidered on both outer sides of the pair.
A line of clothing completes the collection:
– a grey hoodie, a black hoodie with the rabbit printed on the back and his gimmick on one sleeve
– two t-shirts available in black and white with a mini Bugs wearing the All Star logo on the chest and a large Bugs Bunny emerging from the back as at the end of the cartoon.
