MAISON RUINART UNVEILS ITS NEW MILLESIME: DOM RUINART BLANC DE BLANCS 2009

Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2009, the emblematic expression of Ruinart taste
A tribute to the finest harvests, the Dom Ruinart cuvée honors Chardonnay, the emblematic grape variety of the House of Ruinart. Born in 1959, it has been produced in only 26 vintages.
Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2009, the successor to 2007, marks the cuvée’s anniversary: 1959 – 2009, 50 years separate the first and last Dom Ruinart vintages.

Often described as “sunny”, the 2009 Champagne vintage was characterized above all by a summer harvest, ideal for ripening: “An ideal summer climate in Champagne for lively, fleshy wines. as Frédéric Panaïotis, the House’s Cellar Master, explains.

But this particularly dry summer (40% less rain than the average for previous years) also illustrates the impact of global warming, which makes aromas, texture, freshness and dosage all the more complex. These are mastered during blending and ageing, which lasts almost a decade. The Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2009 cuvée offers elegance, depth and a refined texture that make it ideal for a wide range of gastronomic pairings.
