Elephant Crisis Association launches global campaign to combat ivory trafficking
On September 9, the Clinton Global Initiative and Tiffany & Co. launched the #KnotOnMyPlanet campaign to raise funds for the Elephant Crisis Fund and “tie the knot” to never forget the elephants .

As part of our commitment to the environment and as a member of the U.S Wildlife Trafficking Alliance, Tiffany & Co. is proud to support the Elephant Crisis Fund’ s #KnotOnMyPlanet campaign. An elephant never forgets, but 30,000 are killed every year for their ivory. In order not to forget them, we share the gesture of tying a knot, a symbolic “reminder” in Anglo-Saxon culture.
The crucial aim of this campaign is to raise awareness. On September 9, Tiffany & Co. used social networks to introduce friends of the House who have joined the initiative by tying the knot and wearing an archive-inspired elephant brooch in paillonné enamel and 18-carat gold.
Tiffany will donate this unique piece, part of the Tiffany Masterpieces 2016collection, to the cause. Comprising two gemstone eyes and diamond pavé ears, it captures the radiant essence of Jean Schlumberger’s designs. Tiffany is also supporting the promotion of the campaign by sponsoring a call to action in Times Square this autumn.
To raise funds to save the elephants, #KnotOnMyPlaneta was launched during New York FashionWeek with the support of top models and celebrities such as Doutzen Kroes, Joan Smalls, Miranda Kerr, Cara Delevingne, Adriana Lima, Robin Wright, Pearl Jam, Adrien Brody etc., and partners such as Tiffany & Co, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, the Clinton Global Initiative, DNA Models, The Clymb, Ivory Ella and Snapchat, which created a custom filter for the launch.
Join the movement. Show the elephants that you’ll never forget them by tying the knot and sharing your photo or video with the hashtag #KnotOnMyPlanet as well as donating to the Elephant Crisis Fund at www.knotonmyplanet.com
