On the closing night of the Festival, Jaeger-LeCoultre presented the iconic Reverso watch to Lorenzo Vigas, winner of the Lion d’Or for Best Film. As did Valeria Golino, who received the Coppa Volpi for Best Actress, and Fabrice Luchini, the Coppa Volpi for Best Actor.
2015 marks the 10th anniversary of the partnership between the Venice International Film Festival and Jaege-LeCoultre, which each year presents an engraved Reverso watch creating a unique bond with its recipient. Each Reverso watch bears the inscription “72. Mostra” and is adorned with a lacquered engraving representing the lion, the symbol of Venice, with an inlaid diamond to mark the preciousness of this moment in time.
The Lion d’Or is awarded to the film “Desdeallá“ directed by Lorenzo Vigas.
The film is a portrait of Armando, a 50-year-old man looking for young men in Caracas whom he pays for his company.
One day he meets Elder, a 17-year-old boy, leader of a criminal gang. This meeting will change their lives forever.
Italian actress Valeria Golino (pictured right) wins the “Coppa Volpi” for best actress in Giuseppe Gaudino’s film “Per Amor Vostro”. French actor Fabrice Luchini wins the “Coppa Volpi” for best actor in the film “L’Hermine”. L’Hermineby Christian Vincent.
