Last show of this 4th day of Paris Fashion Week at the Beaubourg Center for the Yohji Yamamoto collection. In the silence, a model walks down the center of the catwalk dressed all in black. A few piano notes accompany a collection of long, monastic silhouettes. Vestal dresses, long tunics and trailing coats with kimono sleeves follow one another at a slow pace. Color arrives through the linings of certain garments, then for ensembles that roll up like blankets. The designer’s emblematic silhouette can be seen again: baggy pants, white shirt and tailored jacket. More anecdotal, oversized dresses add the poetic touch so dear to this designer.
