Paris, March 01, 2011. The first Paris fashion shows for Prêt-à-Porter Autumn-Winter 2011-2012 are taking place. Meanwhile, Chanel and Colette join forces for an unprecedented fashion event.
31 Rue Cambon, a legendary address symbolizing Parisian chic and elegance. This boutique with its hushed ambience is an opportunity to enter the luxurious world of the House of Chanel, where Gabrielle Chanel set up her workshops and private apartments.
213 Rue Saint-Honoré, the temple of Parisian hype, an arty-fashion concept store where the best in fashion, design, beauty, high-tech and culture are concentrated. This must-visit address is home to the famous Colette concept-store, which offers an unrivalled, cutting-edge selection of today’s best designers.
When these two legendary Paris hotspots meet, the result is a third address: 336-340 Rue Saint-Honoré. From March 1 to 10, 2011, the very best in fashion, visual arts and musical performances awaits you in the 200 m² of this former garage turned ephemeral boutique for Fashion Week. In a true communion of spirit, this new fashion mecca perfectly combines the spirit of both Houses.
Fabulous CHANEL silhouettes from the Spring-Summer 2011 Collection rub shoulders with a selection of pieces by young designers chosen by Colette. Legendary bags and the latest CHANEL models, including the famous MADEMOISELLE in Colette colors, can be customized on demand by five artists of the moment (Kevin Lyons, André, Soledad, Fafi and So-Me). ÉRES comes in a black and pearly palette, alongside Maison MICHEL and its polka-dot voilettes.
Book lovers won’t be left out with this selection of books from Éditions 7L and back issues of Visionaire magazine. Unusual and playful, collector dolls signed by Karl Lagerfeld, CHANEL bags customized by CHROME HEARTS, bag jewelry by YAZBUKEY, RUBY helmets and LEICA cameras will all be objects of desire. And always the indispensable COLETTE products, compilations and candles…
After a customization workshop by designer and illustrator Kevin Lyons on March 1 and a demonstration on camellias by a Maison LEMARIÉ craftsman on March 02, you can have your accessory customized by illustrator SOLEDAD on March 03, by graffiti artists ANDRÉ on March 05 and FAFI on March 07, or by graphic designer and illustrator SO-ME on Wednesday March 09. On March 04, starting at 5pm, pianist and composer MAXENCE CYRIN will perform on the harpsichord.
CHANEL Black Pearl nail polish, this Fashion Week’s fetish nail polish, will have no more secrets for you thanks to the CHANEL Nail Bar on March 08 and 10 from 3pm to 6pm. And if you fancy a gourmet break, the CHEZ BOGATO cupcake bar will be there to satisfy you.
So get there fast before it’s all gone.
